English Vocabulary Worksheets for Classes 6-10

Vocabulary grows through repeated, varied practice, not through a single long list. The worksheets and ebooks on this page are grouped by class so you can go straight to the level your child is working at.

Every item here is a digital PDF. You choose a class section below, read what is inside, and download the file from your account after you pay.

How to choose a vocabulary worksheet

Start with the class your child is in. If the work feels too easy or too hard, move one class section up or down. Each product card says what the pages cover, so you can match it to what is being taught at school.

A single worksheet pack suits a short, focused topic such as root words or synonyms. A bundle suits a longer stretch of revision.

What vocabulary practice covers

Typical topics include word meanings, synonyms and antonyms, root words, prefixes and suffixes, words often confused, and using new words in sentences. The cards list what each product actually includes.

Examples of the kind of question you will see

  • Choose the word closest in meaning to "rapid": slow, quick, quiet, heavy.
  • Add a prefix to "happy" to make its opposite.
  • Use the word "reluctant" in a sentence of your own.
